Curren, USC Beaufort men's golf finish 2nd in Florida
Led by three individual top-five finishes, the USC Beaufort men's golf team posted a second-place finish at the 23rd annual Webber Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
The Sand Sharks carded a final round of 3-over-par 291 on Tuesday at Lake Wales Country Club to finish second among 10 teams. Johnson & Wales (851) claimed the team title by 18 shots over USCB (869).
USCB senior Brad Curren posted a second consecutive round under par with a 1-under 71 on Tuesday to tie for second at 4-under par, two shots behind Jake Bauer of Johnson & Wales.
Seniors Jud Milam and Kirk Mitchell each finished the 54-hole event at 1-over par to tie for fifth, while freshman Gaetan Weydts-Caesens tied for 20th at 10-over and sophomore Seth Rockwell tied for 27th at 13-over.
The Sand Sharks are back in action Oct. 10-11 at the River Greens Warrior Classic in Avon Park, Fla.
