USC Beaufort women place 7th at Savannah Quarters tournament

Franzi Knoetsch posted a 3-over-par 75 to help USC Beaufort finish seventh among a field of strong NCAA Division II teams Tuesday as the Armstrong Pirate Invitational wrapped up at Savannah Quarters Country Club.

Dallas Baptist won the team title by 15 shots over Florida's St. Leo.

Knoetsch finished at 8-over 224, tying for 11th individually. Freshman Blanca Porta was next among the Sand Sharks, claiming a share of 26th.
