ACC predictions: Another title for Clemson, award for Watson
Last season, Clemson won the ACC title and Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson was named the ACC Player of the Year. Media members at last week’s ACC Football Kickoff in Charlotte expect the same in 2016.
The Tigers were picked as overwhelming favorites to win the ACC, receiving 144 of 191 votes. Florida State (39), North Carolina (7) and Louisville (1) also received votes.
Watson is far and away the preseason pick to be named the Player of the Year, getting 164 of the 191 votes.
Clemson also received 148 votes to win the ACC Atlantic Division, followed by Florida State with 42 and Louisville with 1.
