Time, TV set for Oct. 3 Clemson-Notre Dame game

When Clemson hosts Notre Dame on Oct. 3, the Tigers' first matchup with the Fighting Irish since 1979 will be a prime-time affair.

Kickoff will be at 8 p.m., and the game between the two top-15 teams will be televised on ABC.

Clemson, ranked 11th by the Associated Press and 10th in the coaches' poll, is 1-1 all-time against Notre Dame, ranked sixth by the Associated Press and eighth by the coaches.

Clemson has a bye week this week after a 20-17 road conference win at Louisville on Thursday. Notre Dame, coming off a 30-22 win over then-No. 14 Georgia Tech on Saturday, hosts UMass at 3:30 p.m. Saturday (NBC).
