The Columbia Regional final between South Carolina and UNCW on Monday was postponed by rain. The game will be played at 2 p.m. on Tuesday and be broadcast on ESPNU.

Rain blanketed the Midlands throughout Monday and the call was made shortly after 4 p.m. The NCAA didn’t wish to start the game, then finish on Tuesday; and also didn’t find a clear patch on the weather radar to get the game in.

Tuesday’s forecast looks much more promising. There is a zero percent chance of rain from noon to midnight.

The winner will advance to the NCAA Super Regionals, and would assumedly begin the best-of-three series on Saturday, due to the one-day postponement. Oklahoma State, champion of the Clemson Regional, awaits the winner.

If the Gamecocks beat UNCW, they will host the Cowboys in the Super Regional.
