South Carolina adds productive MAC receiver from transfer portal
South Carolina has added another pass catcher.
After taking a visit to Columbia, Miami (Ohio) transfer wide receiver Gage Larvadain announced a commitment to the Gamecocks.
After losing two receivers — Xavier Legette and Ahmarean Brown — to the NFL Draft and five others, including Juice Wells, to the transfer portal, USC has now snatched a trio of wide receivers from the portal: Larvadain, Louisville transfer Ahmari Huggins-Bruce and Coastal Carolina transfer Jared Brown.
Larvadain played his first two collegiate seasons at FCS Southeastern Louisiana before transferring to Miami in the Mid-American Conference ahead of the 2023 season. In his one year with the Redhawks, the 5-foot-10, 165-pound receiver caught 42 passes for almost 700 yards and a half-dozen touchdowns.
