South Carolina football defensive tackle to enter transfer portal
On a day filled with transfer portal departures for South Carolina, it seems the Gamecocks are set to lose a defensive lineman.
According to a report by on3, redshirt freshman defensive lineman Felix Hixon is expected to enter the portal.
A former three-star prospect out of Jackson, Georgia, the 6-foot-3, 309-pound Hixon never saw game action for South Carolina.
The first sentence of his official USC bio reads: “Redshirt freshman who needs to take the next step mentally and physically to work his way into the rotation.”
The news of Hixon follows the Thursday reports that receiver Antwane “Juice” Wells, kicker Mitch Jeter, wide receiver Landon Samson also intend to enter the transfer portal when it officially opens on Monday.
