Scared enough to run: Zombie Run returns to Bluffton

The sixth annual Bluffton Zombie Run will take off at 3 p.m. Saturday from The Calhoun Street Promenade in Old Town Bluffton.

The 1-mile and 5K family twilight run and walk through the streets of Old Town Bluffton will have a Halloween theme and end with a post-race block party.

The post-race Promenade Zombie Fest Halloween Block Party will feature refreshments, a costume contest, trick-or-treating, a kids play area, live music from the Southern Current Band, a pumpkin toss, a pub crawl and more.

Race organizers encourage costumes, pets, strollers and baby joggers. Awards will be presented to top finishers in both races and for best costume for groups, individuals and pets.

The event is produced by Bear Foot Sports and will benefit the Bluffton Fins swim team and the Arrhythmia Alliance-Gavin Quance Campaign.
