Hansi Flick Suffers Family Tragedy Before Barcelona vs Real Madrid El Clásico

Hansi Flick and the football world are mourning the passing of his father who died at the age of 88.

The news comes at a heavy time for Barcelona as they prepare for one of the biggest matches in the sporting calendar.

Barcelona will host Real Madrid with the aim of winning the match to secure the La Liga title in front of their rivals.

Hansi Flick's Suffers Personal Loss

Following news of the loss, both clubs send their condolences for the German manager,

Barcelona released an official statement expressing their deepest condolences and sharing their support for Flick and his family during this difficult period. They emphasized that the entire club stands with him as he deals with his loss.

"FC Barcelona and the entire blaugrana family wish to convey our affection to Hansi Flick for the death of his father,"

We share your pain and accompany him in this moment so difficult for him and his family," it read.

Real Madrid also issued a statement expressing their regrets and offering their condolences to Flick and his loved ones.

"Real Madrid CF, its president and its Board of Directors deeply regret the passing of the father of Hansi Flick, FC Barcelona coach.

Real Madrid wishes to express its condolences and affection to his family and all his loved ones. Rest in peace." the statement read.

A win or a draw against Real Madrid would give Flick consecutive La Liga titles with Barcelona.

Since taking over for Xavi in May 2024, the former Bayern Munich and Germany manager has led the club to four trophies.
