Ex-NASCAR driver drops asking price (again) on Lake Norman estate, listing shows
Former NASCAR driver Regan Smith and his wife, Megan, have dropped the asking price again on their Lake Norman waterfront estate, down $1 million since they first put their home on the market in July 2024, according to a property history on the listing site.
Their 7,934-square-foot home is for sale for $6.5 million, according to the listing by Compass agent Boston Reid. Iredell County property tax records show the Smiths own the estate. Regan Smith is a current Fox NASCAR analyst.
The home and its 10.9 waterfront acres are in the Morrison Pointe North subdivision on Morrison Farm Road in Troutman.
Built in 2021, the two-story home has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Outside is an in-ground pool, a covered dock and a pool house whose garage-style doors open to a pool deck, a full bar and a golf simulator screen, according to the listing.
The Charlotte Business Journal first reported the home is for sale.
Five-car garage with epoxy finish
The estate has a total assessed value of $1.77 million, county property tax records show.
The Smiths built the home after buying the land for $248,000 in 2013, according to county records.
Other features include spacious bedrooms, two “bonus” rooms and a gourmet kitchen. The primary suite includes custom California closets and a bathroom with heated floors, a freestanding soaking tub and an advanced push-button shower system.
The estate’s climate-controlled, five-car garage has epoxy floors and 2,124 square feet of unfinished space that can be customized, the listing shows.
The Smiths originally listed their home for $7.5 million in July 2024, for $7 million in November 2024 and $6.7 million in May 2025, according to the property history.
