High school tennis, Sept. 7: Hilton Head Prep cruises past St. Andrew’s

Catie Meighan and Riley Kuehler swept to singles victories without dropping a game Tuesday in propelling Hilton Head Prep to an 8-1 girls’ tennis victory over St. Andrew’s.

Charlotte Ruhlin, Molly Rankin and Ava Nixon also recorded singles wins from the bottom half of the Dolphins’ lineup, and each also contributed to a winning doubles team for Prep (3-0).

Beaufort 6, Hilton Head Christian 0: McKenzie and Madison Daniel were at the forefront of a clean sweep for the Eagles (2-0), who did require a third set in any of their matches.

Sarah McMullen, Lucy Bruns and Morgan Louw also were singles winners, as was the double team of Marah Alaubaugh and Hannah Morrissey.
