Liz’s Notebook: Charleston adds more ‘Charm’ to TV lineup
Charleston is giving TV viewers another dose of its charm.
But actual charm. Not the “charm” we have come to know and love-hate on Bravo’s hit series “Southern Charm” — the third season of which starts April 4, by the way, so GET. READY.
“Charleston Charm,” which features Ryan and Krystine Edwards from Mount Pleasant, will premiere at noon March 20 on HGTV.
March 20th is a Sunday, so I imagine HGTV is going after the cozy-couch crowd with that noon broadcast. One thing is for certain, they’re hoping the cozy-couch crowd is into the show. If the one-hour pilot is well-received, “Charleston Charm” will be picked up as a series, according to a press release.
In the pilot, the Edwardses will help a couple from California select and renovate a home in Charleston.
“History is alive and thrives in Charleston, but the city also has a great, cool vibe, which makes it an amazing place to live,” Krystine Edwards, a Realtor at William Means and interior designer, said in the release. “We want to show how much we care about keeping our city beautiful by helping others rejuvenate older homes and bringing in a little local charm.”
