Calling all ... cars? ... with star potential. TV pilot filming in Savannah seeks vintage extras
Does your vintage car want to be a television star?
Well, have you asked it?
It might say yes, and if it does you should send its head-shots to Casting By Lynn, which is seeking 1970s and 1980s cars for “Tropical Cop,” an Adult Swim pilot that will be filmed from July 24-28 in Savannah.
Your car’s special talents must include:
▪ It can be driven
▪ It doesn’t make a whole lot of noise
▪ It must be willing to work in Savannah
If your car is an “odd color,” don’t be discouraged. Casting directors will be especially thrilled by the quirkiness.
“Our hero police car is a Gremlin, to give you an idea,” the casting agency posted on its Facebook page.
Participants will get $80 for eight hours and a $15 “bump.”
To be considered send an email to CastingByLynn@gmail.com with “BG w/CARS” in the subject line. Include a picture of your car, plus three current photos of you. One from the shoulders up. Another from the waist up. And a third that is full body. Take your hats off for these photos and don’t wear sunglasses. Also kick your friends out of the shot ... no group photos.
In the body of the email, include your name, email address, phone number, the city you live in and your height along with your clothing sizes (dress size for ladies; coat, pants and shirt for men).
