The day Bravo TV surrounded this county with ‘Southern Charm’

Bravo TV announced Wednesday what everyone who cares about “Southern Charm” pretty much already knew — don’t you dare deny caring about this show, you just clicked on a story about it.

The reality show, which stars Hilton Head Island native Shep Rose, has been renewed for a fourth season.

Bravo didn’t say who will and won’t be on the show, though. So it’s still possible Kathryn Dennis didn’t quit/wasn’t dropped from the cast as she tweet-deleted last month. My real hope, though, is that Charleston got fed up and deported her to Savannah. Because ....

There’s a “Southern Charm Savannah” now too, which means it’s spawning and we are officially surrounded by maniacs who scream at dinner parties and want to be filmed while doing so.

I know, I know. These aren’t “maniacs.” These are people who live in the “world’s friendliest cities” literally, but I’m sorry, you can’t have a show on Bravo that’s just about writing thank-you notes and smiling when you don’t want to.

In other words, there’s no doubt in my mind that the Savannah cast is going to be a whole lot rowdier than the Charleston cast, which is saying something.

In the meantime, does anyone know anything about the Savannah show? There has to be at least one person from here on it, right? There has to be at least one Shep, one non-reality-show-esque person who is completely aware of how silly, fun and ridiculous it all is. Is it you? Do feel free to secretly tell me.
