Letter: ‘Good news’ is not fear and hate

The good news which Good News Clubs teach is that of caring, peace and joy. Not, as The Washington Post article that appeared in your paper inaccurately states, of fear and hate.

There is much hate, anger and violence all around us. When tragedy or death strikes, most people seek counsel and comfort from their pastor, priest or Bible. Few go to a psychologist at these times. Did you ever wonder about that?

The Word of God says: “A servant of the Lord does not strive, but is gentle to all, able to teach, patient.” (2 Timothy 2:24.)
