Letter: Satanists will lose again

Bring it on!

Yes, let’s let the leaders and supporters of the Satanic Temple’s message of “rationalism,” “free inquiry,” and “fun” — their words — into the schools to compete directly with their stated enemy: faith-based Christians who support the Good News Club’s message of God’s love for His creation.

Since the Bible and prayer have been expunged from our public schools, the vacuum has been filled with a godless secularism that already teaches the very values the satanists cherish, according to the educators quoted: that Christians are bigoted because God’s way, as the Bible teaches, conflicts with their “free thoughts.”

We who worship the Living God welcome the challenge. We believe the message of God’s grace and mercy, as expressed by His followers, will gain more support from the community than this counter message.

The Gospel of Mark records: “People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’ ”

Just the fact that the satanists have singled out Bible-based Christians is sufficient testimony for where the truth lies.

In every battle between Jesus and the devil, Jesus wins.

He’ll win this one, too.
