Letter: Stop abandoning pets
More pet owners are abandoning their pets in other neighborhoods where I live. Animals include kittens, cats, white rabbits and dogs. We have several ponds with alligators on our island, which pose a danger to these abandoned animals.
Are there laws in Beaufort County that penalize these insensitive and irresponsible people who practice this animal cruelty? If there is a law, then people should be made aware of the penalty. If there are no laws, then one should be created.
