Letter: My conscience tells me to vote for Trump

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me.”

Donald Trump says hurtful things and the haters label him an “embarrassment.” Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton performs hurtful acts and the same haters claim she has the experience needed to be president?

The Democratic Party did not lead the fight to abolish slavery. Abe Lincoln and the Republican Party did. We would not have the Civil Rights Act without Republicans.

The Democratic Party has transformed this country into a nation of victims who cast votes based upon how much the candidates promise to dole out in welfare to them.

My conscience will not allow me to vote for a candidate who can’t uphold our nation’s laws, destroys our nation’s work ethic with taxes and welfare programs, and won’t support our nation’s veterans who have given the penultimate sacrifice for their country.

This election is about a woman who has very poor judgment and a dismal record as a public servant versus a man who speaks his mind, has a successful and wonderful family, is not afraid to do more with less, is charitable, employs countless women and minorities in real jobs, and believes in America.

Believe me, I am voting my conscience. I encourage others to open their minds and do the same.
