Letter: Road appearance has never been worse
I’m writing in agreement to all of the recent letters regarding the unacceptable appearance of the roads in our area.
The trash along all of the roads and the uncut grass is out of control.
Several of my neighbors and I have tried to maintain Burnt Church Road by picking up the trash on a bi-weekly basis. It has become so dangerous with the grass not being cut that I’m afraid I’ll get hit by a car.
As a Realtor, I am embarrassed and ashamed that this is my clients’ first impression of the area. Do we need to hire private companies to maintain the roads?
I have lived on Hilton Head Island and in Bluffton for more than 30 years and this is the worst it’s ever been. Who can help resolve these issues? You only have one chance to give a first impression.
