Letter: Careful, you may need those guns you take
Most of us Americans have grown up with weapons and know how to use them, taught by our fathers who were brought up in that time of life.
I am talking about in the 1950s and 1960s and we did not abuse the right to bear arms as we were using them for hunting mainly. But if it ever came to a problem, we were able to handle it.
So many Americans do not know how to respect a weapon that will keep them safe. There are courses that you can take to be qualified to protect your family and maybe someone in distress.
The Second Amendment was created for a reason, and that was to have the right to bear arms. Think about that if you are one of those who want to take it from us. One day it may save your life.
