Letter: School board needs candidates

A recent headline on the front page of the Packet and Gazette tells me that Beaufort County has a school board member who should resign immediately.

Yes, there are “screw ups” on the board as he stated, but none larger than he who states he is “the most qualified member of the school board” because he served on many boards.

In my career with a major corporation, it hired a division controller with an MBA from Harvard who had previously worked in a government position where he served as a member of many boards and committees. Luckily, I didn’t work for him since I was in contracts at the time. His big ego caused so many problems that senior managers would no longer deal with him because he “knew it all.” He soon returned to a government career. Enough said.

I hope someone comes up with good school board candidates for that district in Bluffton.
