Letter: Honey Horn wrong place for arts venue
Thank you to the editorial board for taking the stand that Honey Horn should not be built upon by those who desire to have another arts facility.
Perhaps the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina should be demolished and a proper facility built in its place. No more leaking roof, aging lights and old electronics and no more mold and mildew to threaten the workers, volunteers and guests.
We are not Charleston and we are not Savannah and I don't believe we want to be. Have you been on U.S. 278 at 4 in the afternoon lately? Or tried to come onto the island on a Saturday? Yes, we need the tourists, but surely they can be happy with what our beautiful island already has to offer.
