Letter: How Trump would be controlled
Donald Trump, if president, is not dangerous to our republic.
Barack Obama rules with a pen and a phone and Hillary Clinton is perpetually surrounded by scandal, but they are never held to account because of their protected class status.
If Hillary were to be elected and carried on with executive rule, the Democrats in Congress would bloc vote to protect her from impeachment, thereby making her a danger to the republic.
Trump would always be under scrutiny from the Congress with the Democrats ready to impeach him for the high crime of being alive, and the Republicans wouldn’t bloc vote to protect Trump.
Trump would be forced to return us to constitutional governance in order to stay in office. It just might be that Trump’s trouble with the establishment and the media might just save the republic from becoming a Cuban-style, one-party hellhole?
