Letter: Reality vs. reality television

The majority of the American electorate receives their news and entertainment through one principal media, television. In the “circus” that is the current political arena, both are blended into a mix that makes it hard to distinguish between “reality” and “reality TV.”

The overwhelming benefactor of this unfortunate mix is former reality TV star Donald Trump. His long-running TV show, “The Apprentice,” where he was the dictatorial and omnipotent master of his universe, came through the same boob tube that his current bombastic, vitriolic and vague political rhetoric spews.

I believe that a majority of his supporters subconsciously can’t clearly differentiate where one leaves off and the other begins.
