Letter: Bright Matthews was a poor choice
Good news ... new state Sen. Margie Bright Matthews has established early on why she was a poor choice for the Senate.
She felt that paying property taxes late on her numerous parcels was something that self-employed people should be allowed to do since it was difficult to project income and expenses as a self-employed lawyer.
Now she opposes improvements to the state open-records law for the ludicrous reason that the cost of compliance would be excessive at $140,000. Me thinks thou doth protest too much. Please vote her out of office as soon as possible.
