Letter: Don’t put arts campus burden on taxpayers

We, like thousands of others, relocated to Hilton Head Island to enjoy its beauty and open spaces, not to build a first-class tourist destination.
If the proponents of a concert hall deem it to be a worthwhile and economically viable project, they should raise the money and build it on private property, thus sparing the taxpayers the burden of financing and maintaining it.
