Letter: Disgusted with both parties

I am disgusted with the whole political process in this country.

I’m disgusted with the Democrats who, with us $20 trillion in debt, are so foolish as to believe that they can tax and spend forever and not bankrupt the country. I’m disgusted that they continue with their fantasy world of global warming, green energy, over-regulation, ever-expanding government control and open borders. I’m disgusted that they think that by pandering to illegal aliens they can convince legal citizens of Hispanic origin to vote for them.

Don’t those folks realize that the growing tide of illegals and their “legal” offspring are taking legal citizens’ jobs and using up their share of social services? Don’t they understand that those open borders are allowing a flood of drugs to enter and poison our citizens? The same goes for all American citizens, regardless of race or national origin.

I am equally disgusted with the Republican Party. In their avarice to retake the White House, they have allowed the primary debates and campaigns to become a circus. There isn’t an individual left standing who has not demeaned themselves by engaging in petty name-calling and rhetoric, which should be beneath a candidate for the highest office in the land.

Obama has proven that the Congress is irrelevant if it is afraid to overturn the overreach of the executive branch. I fear it will take a catastrophic event to bring America to its senses, and by that time it just might be too late.
