Letter: Sitting out election a bad choice
Choices. Life is full of them. We make choices in our personal lives from the time we are children until we die, and choices on who we vote for in our many elections.
Today, it appears, American voters will have two choices as to who their next president will be: Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. Both have many flaws and negatives. Unfortunately, we are left with voting for the candidate (and party) with the fewest.
To those Republicans who state “I will never vote for Trump,” and Democrats who say the same about Hillary, just keep an important thought in mind. If more Republicans stay home than Democrats, Clinton will be our next president and the one who will make similar choices to Barack Obama. That is, nominate up to four Supreme Court justices, continue Obama’s tax policies, and continue our no-growth to low-growth economy.
If by some strange circumstance Trump is not the nominee, whoever is has the same problem; staying home is a vote for Clinton.
Please vote on Nov. 4.
