Letter: America a little schizophrenic

Where we brag about spending over $1 million to kill a terrorist with a drone when we used to be able to do it for a 25-cent bullet.

Where journalism entertains rather than providing facts.

Where you can come to the U.S.A. illegally and legally obtain the same benefits afforded to hardworking legal residents while homeless veterans who served our country are ignored.

Where we spend more money, per capita, on those in our penal system than on K through 12 education.

Where black lives matter except when they are killed by blacks.

Where ideology trumps the will of the people.

Where political correctness negates the First Amendment.

Where Ivy League schools preach diversity but practice it selectively.

Where the greater good is subordinate to the pet projects of our elected officials.

Where our elected officials never heard of unintended consequences nor fiduciary responsibility.

Where we send money overseas to buy respect and friendship rather spend it here helping our homeless and unemployed.

Where our tax system chases job-producing businesses offshore.

Where we complain about term limits but stay away from polling booths at election time.

Where abortion is OK but capital punishment isn’t.

Where we pass laws with little or no effort to enforce them.

Where we have unelected, nameless, faceless “national committees” that provide we the people with a choice of who we can vote for in spite of the popular farcical vote.

Sounds a little schizophrenic to me.
