Letter: Gone are the days of cobia

A good friend of mine (now deceased) once told me we’re living too long.

This came to my mind as our state legislature enacted a new law pertaining to fishing for cobia.

Rather than argue the details of how “we” arrived at where “we” are today, I will just tell you that one of the few things I treasure is now no more.

If you enjoy fishing for cobia in Beaufort County waters, please read the regulations, and if able, develop a taste for tilapia.
