Letter: Candidates, do your homework

I have been listening to the complaints from candidates of both parties about the basic unfairness of the method of selection of delegates to the national conventions.

To me, this is the most ridiculous whining that I have ever heard.

If a candidate is not prepared enough to research the basic rules governing the selection of delegates and/or candidates from the 54 states and/or territories that select them, then that candidate is certainly not prepared to be president of the United States.

It’s just a matter of doing your homework. Being president is not simply a popularity contest, it’s hard work.
