Letter: Clinton has experience, steady hand
Your recent article about the Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders clash is just normal politics.
Politicians on both sides of the aisle have all lied at one time or another. So accusing one of lying has no significance whatsoever. If it’s Clinton, Sanders, Ted Cruz, Donald Trump — it doesn’t matter.
Let’s see ... today the Dow is hovering around 18,000, and unemployment is less than 5 percent. Not bad. And we are not in any $2 trillion wars. So the country has not gone to ruin. Maybe we should hope for four more good years.
Should the legislative body do its job, we would be even better off. If I were a CEO, I would never hire any of our congressmen because they refuse to do the job they were hired to do.
Regarding recent jihadist attacks in Brussels, writer Michael Cohen says Americans are more likely to seek out a leader with a steady hand, experience, and a rational plan.
Since candidate Clinton has been Secretary of State, clearly she has a wealth of experience none of the others could possibly have. As Secretary of State she was briefed every day on each country that matters to the U.S. Hers will not be a shortsighted or simplistic plan. These kinds of issues are way too complicated for that kind of thinking.
Let’s admit Clinton is the most qualified candidate we have had in years; at least since I first voted 54 years ago.
