Letter: Cable job on Lowcountry time

If a house painter used the same plan as the company installing the fiber optic cable in Sun City, it would go something like this:

1) Go to the house and put drop cloths over the furniture in multiple rooms. 2) Go away for a month or two. 3) Return and paint the ceiling in one bedroom and a wall in the kitchen. 4) Go away for a few more months. 5) Return and paint the ceiling in the living room and a wall in the kitchen.

You get the idea by now.

Someone came and sprayed colored stripes in our front yard and planted the little colored flags all over. Nothing was done in the yards on either side of us. That was more than a month ago. The colored stripes will soon be gone and I’m not sure if all of the flags are still there.

They seem to do a little in one place, then go to another remote spot and do a little there. At this rate, this will be a typical Lowcountry project and may be finished around 2019.
