Letter: Local vision needs arts venue

The arts naysayers have a lack of vision of what can be achieved for Beaufort County and Hilton Head Island.

We already have one of the country’s most sought-after areas for baby boomers. This group comprises 28 percent of the U.S. population but controls 70 percent of the disposable income. The more we have to offer them, the more they will want to visit and spend time and dollars here.

If we need economic growth, look no further. Let’s target them and enjoy the results. Vote “yes” to fund a new symphony hall and a world-class outdoor performance venue.
