Letter: School change makes traffic worse
The recent Beaufort County Board of Education decision to include Hilton Head Island Middle School in the countywide change in dismissal time to 4 p.m. will result in a traffic nightmare.
Adding hundreds of cars and more than 20 school buses to the late afternoon congestion on our bridge and roads is a recipe for disaster. The next school board meeting is at 6 p.m. April 19 at the Bluffton Branch of the Beaufort County Library. Please contact the school board to express your concern about this regrettable decision.
