Letter: Beach nourishment a must
On my first visit to Paris, the Notre Dame Cathedral was covered with scaffolds, being cleaned and restored. Yes, I was a little disappointed that one of the sites I had looked forward to didn’t look as it had in the brochures. But on my second visit to Paris a few years later, I was able to enjoy the cathedral in all of its splendor. As a tourist I understand that important sites need to be maintained to survive for the long term. Hilton Head visitors will recognize the same.
