Letter: Speak out against beach nourishment dates

I was looking forward going to our Islanders’ Beach Park this summer until I read that the town decided to do beach renourishment in July. It’s also the time when our beautiful loggerhead turtles come to lay their eggs.

Anyone who is as upset as I am, please call your area Town Council people, the mayor’s office, or anyone to stop this insanity.

Please be proactive. Even if you do not like the beach, I am sure your grandchildren do. Call, write, yell: Stop.
