Letters to the Editor

Letter: Give more conservative viewpoints

I’m growing very concerned about what’s going on at your newspaper. I used to enjoy reading it, but lately it seems to have taken an ugly turn to the far left. It’s the first time in my over 25 years as a subscriber that I have considered cancelling my subscription.

It is one thing that you continually allow the same letter writers to spew their ultra-liberal rantings that take up space yet seldom make a logical point, but when you join in with the anti-conservative editorials I find myself wondering what’s going on.

Day after day you bash Republicans with seeming disregard for the fact that most of your readers are conservatives. You even used an editorial on Nancy Reagan’s death to take pot shots. You should be ashamed.

And a recent editorial says, “In fact, it is Republicans who are putting politics above their essential responsibilities ...” Why did you leave out the fact that not long ago the same judge in question was up for a nomination and when the Republican leadership agreed to help Obama get him appointed, he decided to go with another candidate. Talk about playing politics.

At least report the whole story, which I do believe is your most essential responsibility.
