Letter: Defense of Clinton email disturbing
Allowing such slanted editorials as your recent column by Blaine Lotz belittles your paper. Lotz’s writing is almost laughable in its attempt to clear Hillary Clinton of her disingenuous history. Will we next see you publish stories like those seen in the tabloids? Do you have no sense of honesty on your editorial page?
Lotz says Hillary’s falsehoods regarding her emails are no more than a big lie. I suppose she believes the FBI is also part of that terrible right-wing conspiracy that used to target her faithful husband and now is out to get her.
He says she has admitted she made a mistake regarding her secret email server as if that makes it all OK. We should just forget it? If one who kills then says he is sorry I suppose he should be excused also?
Then Lotz says none of the emails were classified as secret when she got them, therefore she had no idea. Are we to believe she, who is supposedly such a brilliant attorney, didn’t know that they included highly secret material because they were not so marked?
Defending a favorite politician is fine, but, come on, we are not kids. We can see through such silliness and it is disturbing to see this stuff published in your newspaper.
