Letter: Presidential race, candidates discouraging
It’s a shame that the current people running for president have no respect for one another. I can remember when the country pulled together as one and got things done after any presidential election. Now, it’s totally gone haywire.
They stop at nothing to get elected. No matter what they say or do, they have no answers to our problems, just insults to their competition. What bothers me the most is people actually think this is for the betterment of the country.
The day after the new president gets elected, the first thing the losing party is going to say is “Who’s going to run in 2020?” So around in circles we go.
Lots of things in this country need improvement, but as long as this hatred between the parties goes on, little will get done.
I really don’t care for any of the current crop of people running for president. No one really stands out. And, no matter who wins, he or she will not change your life.
If they could just stick to the facts and lay out their plans I might have a different attitude. Now, all I feel is that no matter who wins, just keep us out of war. What they say now about each other is more than I want to know.
