Letter: More stories that uplift the spirit

In light of the many dire stories recently involving politics, shootings, etc., it was so heartwarming to read two great stories in the Friday paper.

First, and by far the greatest, was the front-page story about the cheer team of adults with special needs. Who knew? Future good luck in all their endeavors.

Secondly, great story about the Wong family of California — with 12 kids, eight adopted, seven with disabilities.

Please, more stories like these.
