Letter: Listen to the people on Trump
Get the message! People are voting for and supporting Donald Trump because they are tired of politics that just keep the same people making all the wrong decisions.
Representatives in the House are concerned that if the “politics as normal” model is changed they may not have a job. Senators are only out to keep their jobs. They do not really care if there is a Republican president. If there is, the voters might be smart enough to vote out some longtime, stale Republicans to maintain the balance of power between the parties.
Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are looking for a job. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan had their chance and lost an election they should have won because they did not realize that they need the people. Hillary Clinton is only worried about winning the FBI/Department of Justice primary. If not indicted, she will be the candidate of the Democrats.
Trump may not be the smoothest politician you ever met but he has energized the people. It is not the people of the Republican Party of George Bush, Mitt Romney and Mitch O’Connell, but of the people who care, including Republicans, Democrats, Independents, liberals, conservatives, young, old, minorities and many who have never declared allegiance or voted in the past.
Maybe the support of the people is more important to Trump than the support the mainstream, in-office politicians who think they run the country by running the parties.
