Letter: Why we’re angry

The unbelievable statements by Lindsey Graham and Mark Sanford that they will not support the Republican presidential nominee are outrageous.

We, the people, their base, have held our noses and voted for their candidates ... McCain …lost; held our noses and voted for Romney … lost. We’ve held our noses and voted for disgraced ex-governor Sanford for Congress; held our noses and voted for Graham, who went straight to Washington and voted for Sonia Sotomayor for Supreme Court.

Now it’s time for them to hold their noses and support whoever the Republican nominee is … but as usual there is one set of rules for them and another set for us. Not voting is not an option. It’s handing three Supreme Court nominees to Hillary Clinton.

Gee … wonder why we’re angry?
