Letter: We need both church and state
After reading the opposing views concerning church and state, I could only conclude that our nation would not survive without one rave or the other.
After all, our nation stems from a group of Christian families fleeing the verbal constraints of Europeans, and in my support of those Christians I believe no other religion or group of atheists could have conceived the creation of our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
As a U.S. citizen, the most important documents I have in my possession are my certificate of birth and my certificate of baptism.
