Letter: Poor people getting the shaft

Poor people are being ripped off during President Obama’s tenure.

Payday lenders can charge up to 400 percent, car dealerships charge the poor with bad credit interest rates of 20 percent to 30 percent. Rental centers can charge $2,806 for furniture that would cost $1,048 to buy. If you get a title loan on your car, the charge is often around 25 percent per month.

Are the poor really being protected or is the financial system being protected?
