Letter: Sanders’ free stuff would cost taxpayers
I must take exception to the letter on how Bernie Sanders can pay for his proposals. It is far more correct to say U.S. taxpayers can pay for his proposals, as the letter lists no less than 15 new taxes he would impose in order to give “free stuff” to the public.
And yes, “closing loopholes” is simply a Democrat’s euphemism for increasing taxes already on the books. Does the writer not realize that there is a $19 trillion deficit already hanging over our collective heads, and an economy that has been sick ever since the beginning of the Obama administration? And she thinks a slew of new taxes will make everything better?
