Letter: No good will come from Senate delay
So Sen. Mitch McConnell, who seven years ago announced that the main goal of the Republicans in Congress would be to deny President Obama a second term, now thinks that waiting 11 months or longer to restore the Supreme Court to full strength is called for.
Is this really with the expectation that someone will emerge from the clown car to occupy the White House and then nominate a 21st century John Marshall? A clown is much more likely to provide an ideologically-driven court with more decisions like the George W. Bush election and the Citizens United monstrosity.
