Letter: Only one on ballot gets it
The senators running for president just don’t get it. They seem to think that the same old obstructionist credo of “don’t let anything happen except keeping my job” will work forever.
They’re so sure the voters will condone incumbent behavior that they have no fear of flip-flopping on issues or lying about their opponents or collecting their paycheck while “accomplishing” nothing but gridlock.
The national political party apparatus, while feigning impartiality, appears to have chosen to support the status quo at every opportunity. Perhaps they are actually just another special-interest group.
There is one candidate who has a background that frees him to say what he believes and is not encumbered by special interests or public-office incumbent arrogance. If you are really looking for a different ethic in Washington, vote for the person who just wants to make our government ours again. You know who it is.
