Letter: Trust missing for school tax hike
Originally I had no strong feelings on this Beaufort County school nepotism issue other than I thought Superintendent Jeff Moss was being sneaky. But when the school board attempts to resolve the issue by giving Moss authority to approve future nepotism issues, I have lost all confidence in our school board and Moss. The resolution is to reward the villain. Quite remarkable.
I don’t trust his 15-year sales tax plan, nor do I now trust any tax plan coming from our current school system. I will not vote for any tax plan coming from them. Yes, I know the response will be that I will only be hurting our kids. My view is I will be teaching our kids a lesson about bringing government under some kind of control.
