Letter: School board loses its credibility

“No snowflake in an avalanche ever feels responsible.” — Voltaire.

Often when I hear someone say “life is hard,” I am always tempted to ask: “As compared to what?”

I have lost all respect for the intelligence of the Beaufort County Board of Education. There is a reason that its nepotism rule was originally established. Just because something is not against the law does not make it morally or ethically correct.

Anything that brings disfavor upon any governmental entity is a wrongful act. I hope the citizens of Beaufort County will correct the fact that we sent people to run our school system who are inept. The superintendent is supposed to take marching orders from the board, not the other way around. Shame on you.
